McPheeters, Cynthia - Putnam

On Thursday of last week, Mr. Jesse McPheeters died and on Monday of this week his wife, Mrs. Cynthia McPheeters died. The latter was in the 93d year of her age and had been very frail for a long time. The death of her companion in youth, middle age and old age, affected her deeply and five days after his death she joined him in the great beyond.  Deceased was born in Tennessee in 1799 and was married Dec 23, 1828 and had lived in this county on the same farm for 62 years. She was the mother of six children – four sons are living and two daughters are dead. The funeral took place on Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Church, Rev. AH Morris conducted the services. - kbz
